Friction Resistant Coatings
Reduce part failure due to friction
Friction between two objects often leads to the premature failure of one or
both of these objects.
In the past, liquid lubricants such as oil and grease, and semi-solid lubricants
such as molybdenum disulfide and graphite were used to control friction. These
products worked well in most instances, but were often short-lived, needed
frequent replacing, and were extremely messy.
With newly patented products and systems, ICS TECHNOLOGIES can apply solid
coatings that will perform as "dry lubricants". These coatings can
achieve coefficients of friction as low as 0.02 (kinetic).
Some of these coatings include Teflon ®, Starcote ® and Xylan ®
