Although powder coatings are often used to provide durability to consumer
goods such as lawn furniture, they can also solve manufacturers’ problems
of non stick, corrosion, abrasion and high
temperature oxidation, by applying
a wide variety of PFA, FEP, Nylon, ETFE, ECTFE coatings
in powder form such as Halar ®, Tefzel ®, DuPont Non-stick Coatings, Dykor ®, Kynar ® and Rilsan ®.
Features of Powder Coatings
- Thermoplastic coatings and linings that cure at temperatures up to
932°F/500° C
- Thermoset coatings and linings that cure at temperatures up to
932°F/500° C
- Generic examples of these include PFA, PVDF, PTFE, ETFE, ECTFE, FEP, nylon, polyester and polyethylene
