Rilsan ^® Coating

Rilsan is a synthetic thermoplastic polyamide.

Rilsan has the following characteristics:

• Low melting point (186°C) allowing for faster coating times
• Developed so that it will not drip but still liquid enough so that it will give a good surface finish and adhere to corners
• Can create a better finish by using water to fast cool after adhesion to the surface
• 500 - 600 times better abrasion resistance then ordinary oven-baked paints
• High impact resistance (Rilsan forms to surface damage)
• Resists organic acids, salts, alkalis, solvents and hydrocarbons

Rilsan should be used to deal with the following problems:

• Resistance to wear and abrasion
• Impact resistance
• Electrical insulation
• Low surface friction
• Aesthetic surface finish
• Compatibility with food product
• Hygienic properties
• Long service life
