METCO ® 19E
Metco 19E is a self-fluxing nickel-chromium hardfacing alloy powder.
It produces hard, dense coatings which resist wear by abrasive grains, hard
surfaces, particle erosion, fretting and cavitation.
Coatings of Metco 19E are equivalent in wear and corrosion resistance
to coatings of Metco 16C Self-Fluxing Powder. They are useful for nearly
all hardfacing applications, especially on irregular shapes and where thick
coatings are required. Coatings up to 3mm (.125") or more in thickness
may be fused without difficulty.
Metco 19E Powder is sized slightly finer than Metco 16C, and has
a narrower particle size distribution. This provides lower porosity in the
fused and ground coatings.
As a self-fluxing alloy, Metco 19E is one of a group of Metco powders
which are to be “fused” or remelted in a normal atmosphere after
being sprayed. They then coalesce into a dense, essentially pore-free coating.

- Macrohardness: Rc55-60
- Microhardness (DPH300) 785

Wear Resistance
Fused coatings of Metco 19E are equivalent in wear resistance to fused
coatings of Metco 16C. Wear tests conducted using an abrasive slurry of
water and aluminum oxide.
